In January 2024 PlaceMakingNSW engaged the City North Men's Shed to build, decorate and install 20 street libraries in Darling Harbour as part of the celebrations surrounding International Childrens Literacy Day held on 2 April. Over 3 months the project has given our Members the opportunity to learn new skills whilst conducting a worthwhile community project. The installation was officially opened by the Member for Sydney, Alex Greenwich, MP on 5 April 2024 and will be in place until 7 May 2024.
